Cash Flow

Hi all,

Today's accounting class went thorough how to calculate cash flow. I've heard of the importance of cash flow. I did not know exactly how to calculate cash flow from income statement and balance sheet. So it was very interesting. From cash flow, especially, you can tell where the cash primarily comes from. Some company's net income is high. But that does not mean that their business is going well. Gain from sales of PP&E or issuance of common stock would increase the net income. Increase in account receivable or accrued expense affects cash flow. they are recognized when earned in accouting. However, cash does not flow. You need to look into cash flow to make a judgement.

Today was final career work shop. They put up great sessions. I enjoyed all of 8 sessions. I got a lot out of them.
